One would judge a mixture of morello cherry, Italian black cherry type "Amarena" and yet there are only grapes! The illusion is perfect and it really contrasts with white macvin, which is the goal. Taste of pomace perceptible but without excess, sweet but not too much. The bottle always goes down too fast!
A blend of Marc and unfermented grape juice, the red Macvin d'Arlay shows another side of Macvin. Here it is a 3 year old Marc from cask which is blended with Pinot Noir juice. The whole will improve for another year in barrel to finally give our nectar its natural red colour.
Slightly fresh but not cold, it will be consumed as an aperitif, fresh, to drink now.How ?
Besides the aperitif, it will accompany your summer melons. It will be a perfect companion for your chocolate fondant or tiramisu. For a Norman hole with a blackcurrant or cherry ice cream...In the kitchen, a Macvin reduction will give an original and sweet note to your sauce.
