Château d'Arlay
Macvin Blanc Non-millésimé - Liquoreux

Jura, Côtes du Jura

Château d'Arlay - Macvin Blanc
27€55

Intense golden colour, generous material. Open nose on a hint of old pomace followed by candied fruits. Long and balanced on the palate, fig, honey and raisins combined with notes of old marc and kirsch dominate the other candied fruit notes (angelica...). Intense.... It immediately makes you want to marry it: with pear, ginger, chocolate... In addition to his two stars in the Guide Hachette 2017, he received the Silver Medal at the 2016 Jura Wine Competition!

The word of the Winemaker, :

A blend of Marc and unfermented grape juice, Macvin d'Arlay acquires its letters of nobility through its ageing. Here it is an Old Marc of 7 years of barrel which is blended with the juices. The whole will improve again 3 more years in wood to finally give our nectar.

Tasting

When ?

For an aperitif between amateurs, curious gourmands, forbidden to drink without thirst. For the unconditional deserts enthusiast seeking to renew his perception of chocolate, apples and pears, figs.... For the cordon bleu wishing to brighten up its sauce bases or its foie gras cooking, to try the Macvin soufflé, the Macvin ice cream or simply for this evening drink.

How ?

It will be drunk as an aperitif, fresh, and will go well with your summer melons. It will be a perfect companion for your chocolate fondant, your roasted figs, your apple pie, apple pie, pear bourdaloue pie, your crème brûlée... In cooking, a Macvin reduction will give an original and sweet note to your sauce. A product that charms and inspires, that can't lie...

The Wine Estate

A family estate since the early Middle Ages, we have been making authentic local wines in the spirit of a Jura grand cru, respecting tradition. Each manual harvest is carefully sorted. All our wines stay several years in our cellars, offering real ageing potential. The grey marl of the Lias in the basement and a south-facing exposure, unusual in the region, contribute to give elegance and minerality....
