Château de l'Engarran
La Lionne 2017 - Rouge

Languedoc, Pays d'Oc

Château de l'Engarran - La Lionne
10€80

Colour: garnet red Nose: expressive, distinctive and bewitching, the Cabernet Franc signs the nose with freshness. ivy that wraps itself in sichuan pepper, takes on the accents of the south in the tapenade and eucalyptus. It's fresh, gourmet and terribly appetizing. Mouth: grain, style, flesh and fullness. The palate is beautiful, sweet and fresh at the same time, crunchy and distinctive: blackcurrant, red pepper and pepper blend together in a velvety structure to which the ageing has brought balance and sweetness. The "lioness" is raised, tamed and gently delivers her strength! Everything is really there for a charming and chic wine. A lesson in bistronomy!

The word of the Winemaker, :

La Lionne rouge combines the freshness and delicacy of Cabernet Franc with the roundness and generosity of Languedoc. A wine of naughty and crunchy friends!

The Wine Estate

The estate was founded in 1632 and is part of our historical and wine-growing heritage to our great delight. Just a few steps from Montpellier, the Château, its French-style park and its 60 hectares of vines that surround it are one.
