Château Le Lau - Perle Noire 2016

The colour is brilliant. Expressive nose of black fruits with spicy notes. In the mouth, beautiful aromatic structure with subtle hints of vanilla.

The word of the Winemaker, :

Perle Noire is created from our old vines planted 54 years ago (uncloned plants) on the Arveyres plateau, facing south. It is matured in high quality French oak barrels with extra fine grains, which gives the Merlot a beautiful structure, complexity and finesse.

Wine information

When ?

To accompany festive meals where you take the time to cook and share...

You can drink it immediately (bottle opened 1 hour before) or keep it up to 5/7 years if you have a cellar.

How ?

I recommend a cuisine based on fresh and seasonal products. Can be served with vegetarian or non-vegetarian dishes. Also suitable for vegans (no fining with egg whites during bottling) Suggestions: Lentils with carrots, fennels and aromatic plants. Bresse chicken and its mashed potatoes with black truffles.

The Wine Estate

The vineyard is located on the Arveyres plateau in the region between two seas. Cradled by the Dordogne river, Le Lau has an intact biodiversity. The beauty of the place has often aroused the interest of film producers; in 1956 Pierre-Gaspard Huit shot "La marié est trop belle" with Brigitte Bardot as his main actress...

The opinion of Ambassadors
