The harvest is crushed and destemmed. In order to obtain a good extraction of colour and aromas, the fermentation/maceration of this wine is 15 days. The vinification is then followed by a prolonged rest of the wine. Clarification is essentially achieved by successive settling operations carried out in favourable periods. 30% of this cuvée is aged in barrels (two to four years old) or in casks for about six months.
The heart of the range of Château Pesquié. Terrasses Rouge is a blend of the estate's different terroirs at an average altitude of 300 metres.
Colour: clear and deep ruby. Nose: intense notes of fresh fruit and peppery spices. Palate: This very balanced wine combines freshness and roundness of tannins with aromas of red fruits, floral and spicy notes.
Terrasses is an easy wine to combine. With simple dishes such as pizzas, grills, skewers, cold cuts, vegetable pies or mixed salads or on more ambitious dishes such as stuffed vegetables, terrines, poultry (guinea fowl, turkey...) or offal (liver, kidneys). Serve at about 17°C.
