Château Fontvert

Les Restanques 2022

Luberon | Red | 2022

This wine is a subtle blend of Syrah and Cinsault. Fermentation utilizes the yeasts naturally present on the grapes, resulting in an authentic wine. A short maceration preserves its roundness and fruitiness, followed by 12 months of aging in tanks. A single, very light filtration before bottling ensures its character is preserved, offering a true and pure experience. The Demeter label attests to respectful biodynamic viticulture.

Our opinion on the vintage

Its deep garnet color with purplish highlights immediately catches the eye. The nose, refined and inviting, reveals aromas of candied red berries and violet, subtly enhanced by notes of incense and white pepper. On the palate, the wine is round and velvety, with flavors of blackberry and raspberry, accompanied by a light touch of salinity that adds depth. The finish is persistent, marked by notes of pepper, violet, and a delicate hint of licorice. An elegant and harmonious wine, ideal for pairing with Provençal or lightly spiced dishes.

Provence | France

In Lourmarin, south of the Luberon, Fontvert blends Provençal architecture with meticulous work on Grenache, Syrah, and Vermentino grapes. The reds unfold with a delicate, luminous structure. The whites glide with an unexpected freshness for the region. Biodynamic practices particularly enhance the clarity of the sensations. An elegant Provence, devoid of any decorative flourishes.
