Domaine Poncereau de Haut - Blanc Tradition

Clear colour with silvery highlights. The nose reveals aromas of grapefruit and white peach. On the palate, the frank citrus attack is followed by a more rounded and supple finish.

The word of the Winemaker, :

Colombard on its original terroir! This lively and acidulous grape variety blends well with Ugni-blanc, which gives it roundness on the palate. The first wine that our father bottled 40 years ago from the most common grape varieties in our region (also used for Cognac)

When ?

Colombard has a ageing potential of 3 to 4 years. On the freshness in its youth, it will develop rounder and more gourmet aromas with time.

How ?

Its citrus aromas are ideal with oysters. We recommend it for seafood and fish.

The Wine Estate

The Poncereau de Haut estate is atypical for the region, since they produce neither Pineau des Charentes nor Cognac! Only Charentais local wines vinified with passion and know-how for more than 40 years. Many grape varieties (a dozen) are grown on a sandy-silt soil that allows them to obtain powerful and aromatic wines.
