Duck breast is one of the French people's favourite dishes. There are many ways to cook it, which will direct the wine and duck pairing towards several regions. But what wine with a duck breast?
Duck breast is a fairly powerful meat in taste, so it must be served with a wine that can rival this power. A duck breast in a frying pan or a duck breast on the barbecue can be served with a red wine from Bordeaux or the Southwest.
It may seem rather classic to serve a red wine from Bordeaux with a duck breast, but it is very effective. A duck breast in the oven or a duck breast à la plancha will serve as the perfect cooking method.
Often good surprises with Côtes-de-Gascogne wines. A little known appellation with low volumes but which deserves to be recognized for its white wines (very feminine wines!) and its red wines.

Wines that will bring out the braised notes of coal. So what wine with a duck breast for you?
