After Moulin-à-Vent and Chénas, Laetitia Allemand takes us today to Brouilly. Do you know the AOC Brouilly ? It is one of the 10 crus of Beaujolais. Produced in the Rhône department, the AOC Brouilly owes its name to the Mont Brouilly which is in the center of the appellation. Present on Parisian counters and in great restaurants, Brouilly is a surprising wine. Fruity, it accompanies many dishes, from poultry to springtime grilled meat. Immediate boarding with Laetitia Allemand, direction Beaujolais to discover the AOC Brouilly!
Here we are in front of the pretty castle of Pierreux. It is an old fortified house from the 13th century and one of the most beautiful houses of the Beaujolais region that we often see when we travel around the region. The castle has its vineyards right next to it. Let's go !
Here, we makered wine exclusively. It's a fruity wine with a lot of finesse that we usually drink between 2 and 5 years old. But it can be aged very well. You can easily keep the AOC Brouilly for more than 10 years!
Think of accompanying the Brouilly with a Bresse poultry, for the end of the year celebrations for example. I personally find it a nice spring wine! To be served with salads and grilled meats during the summer months!
Brouilly is a pleasant wine that can be found on Parisian counters: in bistros, brasseries but also in palaces and even in some great restaurants, like Fouquet's where it has had its place on the wine list for years!
This means that we are not at the end of our surprises with a Brouilly!
