Discover in video the Alpes de Haute Provence : At the gates of the Verdon (3/3)

After her various escapades around the village of Pierrevert and along the durance in the Alpes de Haute Provence, Laetitia Allemand takes us today at the gates of the Verdon to take a little height for a moment Alpes de haute provence in altitude and in the middle of nature. Watch your eyes, here we go!

At the gates of the Verdon

We are here on the commune of Quinson at the gates of the Verdon Natural Park, at more than 400 meters of altitude.

Just like in Pierrevert or along the Durance river, most of the plots of land here are cultivated in organic farming and the winegrowers are particularly sensitive to the preservation of the environment. The vines cohabit with the lavender fields and offer walkers magnificent views. With annual sunshine well above the national average, the grapes ripen in excellent conditions.

The wines of Quinson are labelled AOP Pierrevert and IGP Alpes de Haute-Provence. They also benefit from the Verdon Natural Park label.

Here we produce reds, whites and, above all, rosés, which are crisp and generous... The altitude here tempers the southern influences and gives them a nice freshness.

I recommend them with a grill around a barbecue, but also with some cheeses like the Banon goat, a speciality of the region!
