Aging for one year in glass bottles placed outside, followed by 33 years in 350 hl oak tuns. This particularly long maturation, a true signature of Mas Amiel, allows the wine to acquire great maturity from the aromas and structure. Its colour is amber and remains deep despite the years. The nose is intense and precise, cocoa, light tobacco and the noble nutty aroma so characteristic of these very old natural sweet wines... The mouth is full, fine, sweet and sensual.

This 45-year-old wine reveals surprising characteristics of youth and freshness. It can be enjoyed with a hare à la royale, with blue-veined pasta cheeses such as Roquefort cheese, or with desserts made with chocolate and dried fruit.

The Wine Estate

An illustrious estate that has acquired its Biodynamic Biodyvin certification since 2017 (2018 harvest can be claimed in conversion, 2019 harvest 100% certified Biodynamic). At the gates of the Cathar country, MAS AMIEL is protected by the old QUERIBUS citadel, to the north by the Corbières and to the south by the foothills of the Pyrenees.
