I especially like these wines of him : Musardises, Sarabande and his Pic Saint Loup Les Grandes Costes.
I like how Jean Christophe is attached to his terroir, I like his comeback to the soil after a career in Paris to restore his grandfather’s winery. He represents my wine dream ! If I had to be a winemaker, I’d like to learn by his side to discover the winemaker gestures, the work at the vine and in the cellar…
I love the Pic Saint Loup area, its mountain, this cross between the Sommières land and the Grès of Montpellier area. The wines there are delicious, worm and generous !
Musardises is a bold and pleasant wine made with Grenache and Syrah. It pairs perfectfly with apetizers during an aperitif with some friends, Iberian ham, savoury dishes.
Sarabande is a round, long and easy-to-drink wine. It has a precision of quality that uplifts the tasting ! I like it with mediterranean food, an ink squid, stuffed vegetables, a tagine with apricots and grapes.
The Pic Saint Loup is a deep, intense and fresh wine. It has a nice red fruity nose with an intense blackberry flavour. In the mouth, there are some complex hints of Lombok pepper, sour cherry and blackcurrant. The finish is smooth and charming.
