For nearly 100 years, AR Lenoble Champagne has been a family affair! Located mainly in Chouilly, this 18-hectare vineyard is classified as a Grand Cru for Chardonnay and a Premier Cru for Pinot Noir. Known for its champagnes with their ample texture and perfectly integrated bubbles, AR Lenoble is one of the few Champagne producers to include Chardonnay Grand Cru in all the wines in its range.
The history of the estate dates back to 1920 and was founded by Armand-Raphaël Graser, an Alsatian by birth. Two years after the war, he decided to give the name "Lenoble" to the vineyard in tribute to the admirable character of the region's wines and refrained from calling it "Graser", a Germanic sounding patronymic. Today, it is his grandchildren Anne and Antoine Malassagne who are in charge. For all these years, the family has made it a point of honour to maintain its independence and to promote the expression of choice terroirs in the heart of Champagne.
In the elaboration of our wines, we never use the Size but only the Cuvée from the first press. The legislation requires us to age for at least 15 months in the cellar, but we never sell our bottles before 3 years of ageing! Each year, we harvest our grapes at full maturity and adapt to the specificity of each vintage.
