The vineyard extends over 5 hectares in the prestigious terroir of the Reims mountains. Three noble grape varieties are used in the composition of our vintages: Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay. These three varieties are grown on vines with an average age of 30 years. The vine draws its inspiration from a clayey-limestone soil and on slopes that are favourable to sunshine. This allows us to produce grapes of high quality. Respectful of the environment and very committed to sustainable development, we choose to practice sustainable cultivation against possible diseases, really only treating when necessary.
Between Reims and Epernay: it is in this mythical terroir of Chamapagne that the Maison André Tixier et Fils is located. In 1926, in Chigny-les-Roses, a village classified as a premier cru, André Tixier gave birth to his son Robert and decided to vinify his own juices so that he could sell his champagne under his own name.
Almost 100 years later, Robert's son Patrice, in turn, passed on the family know-how to his son Julien in keeping with the Champagne family tradition. The love for the vine does not seem to be running out of steam at Maison Tixier: a pride for the elders and a guarantee of sustainability for this company.
The vineyard is certified since High Environmental Value (HVE): a great pride for us who choose not to treat the vine against the possible diseases to which it is exposed.
