CHAMPAGNE BERTHELOT-PIOT

A 15 hectare family farm located in the commune of Festigny, in the heart of the Marne valley. Preferred terroir for the Pinot Meunier grape variety, which we mainly use. We also cultivate the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grape varieties to produce a balanced blend wine. Our mainly clayey-limestone vineyard is located mainly on the hillsides, our village being in a circus. It is for 5 generations that we have been developing a reasoned viticulture and a meticulous vinification.

Our story

At the end of my wine studies and after several internships in other vineyards, the last of which was in the United States, I came back to the farm with my parents for a lot of experience. And there I learned to respect traditions and family know-how. Yes, a winegrower for 5 generations! In turn, I was very keen to bring my own personal touch. This has been done for a few years now, that's my great pride, two microvinifications: the cuvée unveiled in a limited numbered series in a chrome bottle and a bleeding rosé, plus 100% Meunier. Last victory, we have just received an award of excellence in the Dussert-Gerbert guide.
