After training as an engineer, Alexis chose to return to his roots by becoming the 12th generation of winegrowers in the Warnet family. As a specialist of the terroir, he grows exclusively Chardonnay, which allows him to produce a very wide range of white champagnes. Alexis is committed to sustainable viticulture, his vineyard is certified High Environmental Value.

Our story

As a harvesting and handling estate, Warnet has the particularity of having its vineyard exclusively planted in chardonnay, allowing the elaboration of a range of 100% blanc de blancs champagne which, thanks to its know-how transmitted from generation to generation, has become the house's specialty. Today, Warnet offers a rich range of blanc de blancs champagnes, from a non-vintage reserve cuvée to the Excellence cuvée, made from the best chardonnay plots over 50 years old.

According to the last found writings, the Warnets were already wine growers in 1696. The Warnet house became a winegrower and handler in 1978 with the arrival of Patrick. A big period of evolution and development followed with the investment of a winery, a pressing center and a cellar. Thanks to this, the house based in Nogent l'Abbesse, was able to put forward the culture of its vines and thus to realize champagnes resulting only from their vines. It is therefore natural that Alexis, the last generation, has taken over the domain by bringing his rigor while keeping the philosophy acquired during these 12 generations. Today committed to sustainable viticulture, certified High Environmental Value and Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne, Alexis is always in search of excellence thanks to a passion for a terroir, a tradition, reasoned viticultural practices and a range of wines as precise as precious.

Other little stories

Today committed to sustainable viticulture, the estate has been handed down through 12 generations of winegrowers and is always in search of excellence thanks to a passion for a terroir, a tradition, reasoned viticultural practices and a range of wines as precise as they are precious. Alexis having studied engineering, he strives to follow a rigour that allows him from year to year to produce wines that are more and more technical, faithful to the family philosophy. The cuvée l'Excellence benefits from a maturation period of about 8 years before disgorging and then 6 months of rest.
