Domaine Charles Fahrer

The Charles FAHRER estate is located in the centre of Alsace at the foot of the famous Château du Haut-Koenigsbourg. It extends over about forty parcels and 4 wine-growing villages. Our soils are diverse. We harvest by hand and look for an optimal maturity for our vintages. The harvest is spread over several weeks. Thierry FAHRER shapes his wines with passion in harmony with nature and the environment.

Our story

The Charles FAHRER estate: more than 8 generations of passion for the land and the food industry. Each generation has turned the page and written its own history. Charles FAHRER created his own brand in 1965. Thierry FAHRER, his son, is the current winegrower of the estate, far from the media chatter, he translates what he has to say into his wines. But his treasure is the terroir, of which he is only the simple messenger. It is an alchemy between man and nature. We must hear the "cries and joys of the earth" we must hear the "grapes" sing when they are ripe. For him, each plot is unique and will bring a taste, an accent, a colour. It is in this state of mind that he makes his vintages.
