Château Croix d'Allons is a wine estate that extends over nearly nine hectares "on the Cathedra lands" (the former name of La Cadière, which at the time included Saint Cyr sur Mer and Bandol) on the oldest geological formations of the Bandol Wine Appellation, giving our vines their exceptional character. On this very old family property, we have chosen to offer only one BANDOL AOP wine, per vintage and per colour, respecting our organic farming practices (ECOCERT certification). From our oldest vines planted by the Salesian Brothers in 1924, to the first vines planted by the family in 1952 and 1960, to the latest plantings, we find the favourite grape variety of Bandol wines: Mourvèdre (70% of our vines) accompanied by its complementary varieties which, when combined, give our BANDOL PDO all its typical character.
We are a small family estate in Provence: since 1924, we have preserved and protected our exceptional old vines all located on the same geological unit, the oldest and rarest in the Bandol Production Area: those of the Trias (limestone, dolomite, gypsum and cargneule). Today, we market our Bandol and would be delighted to let you discover them.We only produce Bandol AOP, considered as one of the best wines of Provence by the professionals, and we have chosen to propose only one vintage per year and per vintage in order to work at best this exclusivity and this unity found on our lands. Finally, we would like to specify that our Domain is certified by Ecocert in Organic Agriculture, as well for the vines as for the olive trees.Last pride? Our participation in the Lyon 2021 International Competition and our Bandol Rosé awarded a Gold Medal! Not forgetting all the kind words, compliments and favourites from our foreign importers who discover our Bandol and put them on tables all over the world, but also and above all our customers who come to us at Château Croix d'Allons! To all of you: thank you!...
When you come to Château Croix d'Allons, you will first meet Philippe (my husband): a winegrower, he is part of the fourth generation to work these lands. He is helped on a daily basis, in the field and in the cellar, by Yan, our farm worker. I am in charge of management and marketing, even if we are all very versatile (except for me for pruning...) and we all enjoy participating in the success of Château Croix d'Allons. Our main principle at Château Croix d'Allons: first of all, the pleasure of welcoming you in our beautiful Provence, then to make you discover our Bandol in its three colours. But above all, come "as you are": only one principle: your pleasure: if our Bandol Blanc goes wonderfully well with a magnificent Saint Pierre or a buttered and lemony bass with fennel and sweet potatoes, I am also delighted (and I am the first) to taste our Bandol Rosé with a couscous or a "ham and butter"! We are waiting for you !...
