Since 1995, and after four generations of winegrowers, Hervé Tijou likes to share the tradition and passion for wine. Anne has joined him so that all the curious customers of the estate can discover the rich heritage of the village of Saint-Aubin-de-Luigne on the edge of the layon or go and see the plots of land, that of Savennières, which plunge into the Loire on a schistose sandstone terroir. Château Bellevue dominates the panorama of the hillsides. What a setting! The vines are cultivated in the good sense of reasoned culture, that's why they age well and bring with the fruit, the taste of the soil and give finesse to the wines. Château Bellevue offers a wide range of dry white wines (Anjou blanc, Savennières) as well as red wines (Anjou Gamay) and rosé wines (Rosé de Loire, Rosé d'Anjou, Rosé Cabernet Anjou) or sweet wines (Coteaux du Layon, Coteau du Layon 1er Cru Chaume)!
Hervé has been bathed in the vine since his birth, following in the footsteps of Jean-Paul, his father. Hervé has continued the traditional production while bringing his discoveries and especially his viticultural expertise with new vintages. A lover of wine, of his estate, of the life of the vine and of the land, Hervé recognises that it is above all necessary to pamper and adapt to the vine rather than trying to tame and control it. This is what makes Château Bellevue a formidable terroir full of generosity.
Wine has no borders: it is a sharing, a meeting, a conversation, exchanges, an accompaniment with a dish, a colour, an emotion, a joy, a birthday, friends, buddies. This vineyard presents rare and appreciated qualities and Hervé has been able to magnify his estate by achieving a beautiful harmony in all his wines, whose complexity remains accessible to all.
