Purchased in 1971, the Thomassin family is one of the oldest owners of Château en Pessac-Léognan (many investors having acquired properties after the creation of the Pessac-Léognan appellation in 1987). The estate has doubled in size to 44 hectares. A fire destroyed a large part of the winemaking buildings in 2011. The reconstruction was completed in 2014 and the brand new winery makes it possible to make the most of the terroir to produce very fine wines.
