Château de la Bégude

Our story

It is at the foot of the Sainte Victoire - immortalized by Paul Cézanne - a few kilometers from Aix-en-Provence and on sunny hillsides that the vineyard of Château de la Bégude extends. Originally an old Templar residence, then a post office under Louis XIV, the Château de la Bégude was bought in 1896 by the family's great-great-grandfather, Marius Rey, who turned it into a place of mixed farming and livestock activities. From now on, the estate's activity is dedicated solely to wine, and it is Didier, a descendant of Marius, who ensures the continuity of the family's know-how, as well as the development of wine-making processes specific to organic agriculture.
