Located in the heart of the brouilly region, in Cercié on the Belleville-sur-Saône parcel, in the heart of historic Beaujolais, Francis Paineau produces wines that he calls "cut for gastronomy". Precursor and precise, they will be the first to produce pinot noir in the Golden Stones region and it surprises us with its "wild wine to drink" cuvée.

Located in the heart of the brouilly region, in Cercié on the Belleville-sur-Saône parcel, in the heart of historic Beaujolais, Francis Paineau produces wines that he calls "cut for gastronomy". Precursor and precise, they will be the first to produce pinot noir in the Golden Stones region and it surprises us with its "wild wine with hair" cuvée, made without any addition of sulphite: a wine of great purity.

Our story

The château has been a family estate for many generations. I might have missed a few jolts, but it was acquired by my family in 1535! Today, I am writing a new page of history, although my vision is not that of a revolutionary. I like to perpetuate the tradition so that I can pass on to future generations this heritage that is dear to me.

Other little stories

The appellation allows us to produce 52 hectolitres per hectare but we are still below it, with the greatest respect for the vines. As a result, our juices are very concentrated!
