The domain's short story

At Derrieux le vin c'est sérieux, the priority is given to quality in order to produce wines that are typical of its terroir. After a variety of professional careers, my cousin François and I, 11th generation, bring freshness and renewal to meet the challenges of vine and wine quality.

The winemaker's pride

As a lookout point on the first coasts above Albi and Gaillac, we dominate the Tarn valley on the Lacroux terroir... Our beautiful south-east slope is a gradient of clay-limestone giving strength and character by our clays, and finesse and elegance by our limestone... All the conditions are present to create great wines. The heat of the south, a touch of oceanic freshness and the wind for the sweetness of life, the history, brings us an incredible variety of local grape varieties such as Braucol and Duras for the reds and Mauzac and Loin de l'Oeil for the whites. In Gaillac the know-how is multiple, red, white and ancestral method, the origin of the first bubbles.
