Tasting Terroir

Activity Details

Visit the cellars of Pennautier and discover the philosophy of the estate, the influence of the barrel and the different terroirs of the Cabardès appellation through a tasting led by our sommelier. 5 "prestige" wines will be honored among our "Terroir d'altitude" and "Grands vins" ranges. You will thus taste wines from barrel ageing or not and wines from parcel selections in order to discover the different terroirs of Cabardès as well as possible. During the week, you will also have access to the park of the Château de Pennautier.

Château de Pennautier

Château de Pennautier is a family estate that was born in 1620 with the construction of the Château by Bernard de Pennautier, treasurer of the Languedoc States. Louis XIII stayed there, and later, Le Vau and Le Nôtre will participate in the extension of the building to make it one of the most remarkable buildings around Carcassonne.
