Our vineyard extends over 48 hectares from the communes of Vinsobres to Mirabel-aux-Baronnies. The vine stock is almost exclusively made up of Syrah. This king grape variety in the region sublimates our terroir and allows us to produce very fresh wines with spicy notes specific to the terroir.
The Château de Verona was built in the 13th century in the middle of the Rhône Valley, in the small village of Vinsobres. It was Pierre de Verona who, during this period, was lord in the region and governed the land. We have taken back his coat of arms and use it with pride on our bottles.
At the beginning of the 20th century, it was the Pelissier family who took over the business and strongly developed the vineyard. The family uses the richness of the soil at its disposal to improve its vintages. From vintage to vintage, the cultivation of the vine is more and more reasoned while respecting the wine-growing traditions. Today, the 4th generation of winegrowers of the Pelissier family manages the estate.
"Our passion for wine is combined with our love of heritage, which is why the restoration of the Château is an integral part of our project."
