Château Gourdon

Our story

It was in 1870, in the heart of the southern Côtes du Rhône, that the first vines were planted at Château de Gourdon. A bucolic and welcoming place in the northern Vaucluse, Château de Gourdon draws its inspiration from a wine region with over 2000 years of history, an exceptional natural setting and the modernity of its twinning with the New World. Château de Gourdon is surrounded by fifty hectares of vines and fifteen hectares of woodland. Its plots, some of which are over 70 years old, are planted on gentle slopes, exposed to the sun and the Mistral wind. Deeply attached to nature and to our heritage, we work with respect for our terroirs, in order to bring out the finest expression of them. We cultivate 14 grape varieties on 3 types of soil and we carry out plot-by-plot and intra-plot selections for our vinification.
