Château Haut Peyrat is located on the heights of Cambes, a village on the banks of the Garonne, 20 minutes from the centre of Bordeaux. It has the particular appeal of a splendid 20 hectare terroir, mixed with 20 hectares of woods and meadows, revealing a delicate and rare balance of biodiversity. Almost the entire vineyard is located on hillsides, facing south-east to south-west, and most of the soils and plots, composed of clayey-limestone and clayey-gravelly gravel, have a good potential for quality. Rich in this terroir, the Château produces a range of excellent wines that should enable everyone to find great satisfaction.
Isabelle, from a family of winegrowers whose traces can be traced back to the French revolution, was the first to manoeuvre in launching the project in 2014, joined by Didier in 2016. United by their common passion for wine and by a life project, Isabelle and Didier acquired this winegrowing estate in 2014. It was a real favorite, because in addition to a very beautiful building on a hillside offering a superb view, the estate extends over 40 hectares in one piece, at the gates of Bordeaux and Entre Deux Mers, a small Tuscany in Bordeaux. Left abandoned for many years, many works have been undertaken in the vineyard and cellar and today there is undeniably a new wind blowing on the property....
For Isabelle and Didier, it is a second professional life, but above all the search for a very special living environment.... The one of a life in the countryside that might seem peaceful but which is punctuated by the sound of working in the vineyard, in the cellar, and for the moment...by the works!Château Haut-Peyrat is part of a sustained environmentally responsible approach. We have already reached level 2 HVE (High Environmental Value), in order to be able to claim the label "Exploitation à Haute Valeur Environnementale", we prefer soft or alternative techniques, which is why we are working to reduce phytosanitary treatments through rigorous use, promoting the success of integrated and biological control. an effluent treatment plant has been installed, and the estate has one of the only vine boilers in the region. It allows the entire property to be heated, both the technical buildings and the residential houses, thanks to the vine shoots pruned the previous year.
