Three sisters and sisters-in-law: Monique Baudin, Lysette Bonnisset and Jocelyne Jean-Baptiste (supported by their respective husbands) manage the Domaine Haut-Prieur located near Bordeaux, north of Blaye. Together, they grow 95% Merlot and 5% Malbec. In order to obtain the best from the vines, they remove the counter buds, prune in the Bordeaux style and carry out green harvesting at the end of spring. As for the vinification and maturing of our wine, they are carried out in the Châteaux-Solidaires cellars: a group of ten winegrowers benefiting from high quality infrastructures and allowing each member to obtain his own wine.
United by our father, it is from him that our passion for the vine emanates. It's a legacy. We also use his tractor, which is always in working order!
Being a winegrower means adapting to the weather conditions to ensure the best possible quality. The necessary qualities are adaptability, reactivity and anticipation. It is a know-how but also a know-how.
We sometimes regret that companies without real identities offer wines at such low prices that it is difficult for us to face this type of competition. We believe that this is not good for the image of wine.
