Located on the magnificent slopes of Langoiran, Château La Peyruche is a property steeped in history. Château La Peyruche takes its name from the limestone rocks on which its foundations are built: "La Peyre Ruche" is the rough stone in Gascony. In the past, Château La Peyruche produced many products (fruit and vegetables, beef, wine, etc.) and today its lands are exclusively dedicated to wine production. Our wines are expressive and authentic, produced and aged with respect for the terroir, people and the environment.
Bertrand Weisgerber fell under the spell of this property that he acquired in 2013. With the
help of David Sarry, they took over the Caillard family's business.
Concerned about a greater respect for our terroirs and the environment, they began in 2017 to convert the estate into organic farming.
Bertrand Weisgerber has spent most of his professional career in the application of new technologies and has always been committed to the sustainability of things.
He was seduced by the Peyruche because of its exceptional location and terroir, but also by the diversity of the property, with the vines representing only half of the agricultural surface area, the rest being composed of pastures, orchards and woods. This setting is particularly suitable for the development of an organic approach.
