Situated at the top of a hillock on the Coteaux des Bordeaux, on the banks of the Garonne, the Moncho-Yung estate is made up of Châteaux Laronde and Lapeyrère. A welcoming property, with full-bodied wines whose history is rooted in the village and which has seen three generations of the family succeed one another. Driven by the same passion as my father, I decided to take over the management of the property in 1997. I have at heart to produce an authentic wine which resembles me. I try every day to bring a feminine touch to our work. In 1998, I undertook a complete renovation of the winery. A few years later, all our stainless steel vats are thermo-regulated. 2011 Château Laronde 2010 wins the silver medal at the Concours des Vins de Bordeaux 2012. In 2012, our 2011 Bordeaux wine won the Gold Medal at the same competition, and in 2013, the Gold Medal was awarded to Château Laronde by Gilbert & Gaillard in 2014.
I grew up among the vines, and it is quite natural that I decided to continue my father's work. To be a winegrower is above all to share. Sharing his passion, his wine, his culture. The 2013 Catherine vintage is without a doubt the one that resembles me the most: full-bodied, fruity... As a child, I sometimes had trouble sleeping in the morning. As a child, I sometimes had trouble sleeping in the morning, so I would sit by the window and watch the fog roll in over the vines. And I remember, at dawn one morning in June, seeing my father coming out of the fog, secateurs in hand, tending to his vines... A wonderful memory that I wish to share with you...!
