Near the gorges of the Ardèche and the cave of the Pont-d'Arc, in the heart of the Rhône Valley, lies the vineyard of Château les Amoureuses. Here we find the freshness of the North and the Mediterranean sweetness! Jean Pierre BEDEL, owner of the Domaine since 2011, has one objective: to produce high quality wines on his native Ardèche land. Two original ranges have been created: "Château les Amoureuses", a classic range of authentic and elegant wines in Côtes-du-Rhône and IGP Coteaux de l'Ardèche PDOs and "Terres des Amoureuses": A range of IGP Ardèche creative wines synonymous with innovation, freedom.... and audacity.
THE LOVERS, TRUE OR LEGENDARY HISTORY... In the past, in spring, the young girls of Bourg-Saint-Andéol came to chat near a stream on the edge of the vineyard plots planted at the place called "Vinsas". They were joined by the young men and inevitable love encounters were played there. Hence the name given to these vines since then, which would not come to anyone's mind to rename them!
Did you know that? The name Terres des Amoureuses was born from the union of the Libyan vines where the winegrower resides and the Amoureuses where the cellar is located.
