Located in the Dordogne on the Bergerac appellation, at the crossroads of the Gironde, Lot and Dordogne, the estate extends over 13 hectares and enjoys a sunny oceanic climate with mild winters and sometimes very hot summers. The vines are planted on three different terroirs, silty clays, clayey-limestone slopes and flint limestone, in a very diversified natural environment where the flora is indigenous.
The vines are treated with biodynamic preparations thanks to herbal teas made from the harvesting of nettle, horsetail and wicker shoots on the estate. Simple, free, efficient!
Implementation of polyculture, no sulphur for reds and the practice of animal traction for a small area (one to three times a year depending on the need). For the whites, the grape varieties cultivated are semillon, ugni blanc and muscadelle and for the reds, there are merlots, cabernets francs and sauvignons.
A young couple of passionate winegrowers, we took over the estate with Camille in 2008 and today we are 3 people working at the estate with Jean Marie's company without whom nothing would be possible.
Respectful of the soil and the vines that surround us, we have turned to organic farming from the beginning and biodynamic farming since 2010 with the obtaining of the ecocert certification. This approach, not being a goal in itself, helps us in our search for sincerity through our wines.
We grub up and replant to redensify the vines, which produce less but better.
The work of the vines is an exchange between us and the land but also between us and others that we transmit through our wines. We have a blog that recounts our daily life, life at the estate, our victories and our connection to the land.
