With its 22 hectares, this estate is a jewel of Languedoc. The vineyard is planted with several parcels scattered between the AOC Minervois and the vintage La Livinière, located near the Black Mountain. From an altitude of 130 metres to nearly 200 metres on the foothills, climatic conditions vary enormously both in terms of temperature differences (1 to 3 degrees) and rainfall. To this are added soils of various geological origins, but dominated by clay and limestone. Since 2012 the estate has been exclusively dedicated to organic farming and winemaking. Christian is the third generation on this magnificent estate of Château Mignan and invites you to discover his vintages, made with respect and love of work and in the respect of the lovers of this magnificent terroir.
The estate was created in 1956 by Christian Mignard's grandfather on the high clay and limestone terraces of Siran and was taken over in 2002 by the latter. Today 22 hectares are shared between the AOC Minervois and Minervois-la Livinière. The current winegrower has built his cellar and converted his entire vineyard to organic farming (certificate in 2012)
The motto of the estate inscribed on the Logo and present on all bottles - Terra, Labor, Homo, Sanguis - shows that this vineyard is maintained with love, passion and respect. We are very proud to do viticulture and vinification in organic.
Being a winegrower is a passion passed on by my grandfather first. Then my Father continued to pass the torch and I am the third generation. I find my inspiration in the vines especially at night when I have to go out, to occupy myself according to the moons, to treat the vines. I respect her and she gives it back to me at each harvest by giving me her best juice. I return it in bottles and I redid the labels a year ago in relief or transparency for the best effect. I hope that like me, you will be able to feel all the love I put into my work.
