Anecdotes about the domain
There is a philosophy of winemaking just as there is a philosophy of vine growing. Each vintage will thus be vinified differently but always within the very precise framework of a traditional fermentation that respects the customs of the appellation.
The domain's short story
I am now the 5th generation to take over the family adventure while respecting the original vision and philosophy. It was in 1931 that my great-great-grandfather, Paul Dauvin, gave birth to the estate and the vines that surround it. In 1957, the estate was managed by Jean Brussac, my great-grandfather, with Antonio Molinari, Jean's son-in-law, and at the time the estate covered 7 hectares. my father, Pascal, returned to the vineyard after a brilliant career in IT, now the vineyard has 22 hectares of vines, an increase that is still in line with the same philosophy of vine cultivation.
The winemaker's pride
The 22-hectare estate is located in Langon, in the commune of Les Graves, south of Bordeaux. Located exactly on the left bank of the Garonne, the estate benefits from a temperate climate that is favourable to the vines due to its softness and regular humidity... The grapes are harvested by hand and make it possible to vinify as healthy a fruit as possible. Always with a view to respecting the fruit, we certainly carry out treatments, but always in a reasoned way after a sustained analysis of the risks involved in the products used.
