The estate is located in the north of the Gironde estuary, on clay soils, surrounded by forests in a totally preserved environment, the vines have been cultivated here for a long time (property dating back to 1770), and organic since 1977.The different parcels of Merlot Noir (the only cultivated grape variety) blend harmoniously into the environment, between orchards, vegetable gardens and forest hedges, thus preserving a rich and varied ecosystem. vinification is carried out in the purest Bordeaux tradition, with long maturation in barrels (gentle heating to preserve the fruity side of these pretty Merlots).
The preservation of ecosystems is the basic pillar of the philosophy of Cristina & Denis, farmers of authenticity. Our respect and attachment to ancestral wine-growing traditions, combined with this conviction for the "ORGANIC" necessity, is logically reflected in our wines.
A short summer reflection from our friend and poet Pierre Dargelos:"And in the summer, which was moving forward in the fresh shade of the foliage, a lonely plane underlined the silence... While the winegrower was grilling red meats, fragments of cherry orchard floated on the waxed canvas, in order to seek the rare balance of acid tartars and an art to come, from unforgettable traditions..."
