Château Saint-Esprit welcomes its visitors with as much charm as friendliness, just like its sales cellar. It is in an old stone tower, completely renovated, that you will taste, in a cosy atmosphere, the wines of the property accompanied by the flavours of some local products: goat cheese, organic tomatoes from the vegetable garden, tapenade. On sunny days, it is on the terrace of the cellar, that you can sit down for a tasting in the shade of a vine vine and dry stone terraces, facing the vines and olive trees. Thus the philosophy of Hélène and Richard is one of welcoming, conviviality and complicity. Richard, oenologist and master of the estate, will propose you an educational tour to discover the estate's grape varieties and the stages of winemaking. The vines of Château Saint-Esprit are located on the hillside in the red lands of the trias. 12 hectares of clayey-limestone, stony and draining soil, an exceptional terroir ploughed regularly to optimise each drop of water. The characteristic grape varieties of the Côtes de Provence make up the vineyard. The rolle for whites; cinsault, syrah, rolle, grenache and mourvèdre for rosés, cabernet-sauvignon, syrah, grenache and mourvèdre for reds. At Château Saint-Esprit, the yield is reasoned. No more than 50 hectolitres per hectare. Sustainable viticulture is also evident when you discover a herd of sheep grazing in the vineyards. During the summer, the art of wine is combined with other art forms: Château Saint-Esprit exhibits works by local artists in its various locations.
Château Saint-Esprit is a family estate located on the heights of Draguignan, not far from Flayosc. Since the 1960s, this family of oenologists and winegrowers has accompanied the development of the local terroir and quality production. The development of this estate has taken a new turn with the installation of a winemaking cellar and the opening of the estate to the public. Richard and Hélène have also begun the renovation of the 19th century building on the top of the hill. This building can accommodate all your events in an atmosphere of complicity. In addition, a charming cottage in the heart of the vineyards, in a fully restored stone cottage, will accommodate your wine tourism stays.
