Located in the commune of Saint Laurent, the hillside of Garonne gravel ensures perfect drainage. It is a human and family size farm, practically all in one piece, covering 16 hectares, generally composed of a majority of Cabernet Sauvignon. The search for a perfectly ripe and healthy harvest allows longer macerations, complex tannins, good structure, elegance, power and aromatic finesse. The wine keeps for about fifteen years in the cellar.
Settled in 1991, my parents undertook work in the vineyard and in the cellar to give back the place it deserves to this renowned cru bourgeois. Today I manage the estate with them and the castle was built in the 14th century under the name of Goulfaisan. The wall surrounding the garden still has some memories of this period; dungeons and loopholes visible on its façade. The tower has a beautiful stone staircase and is decorated on the outside with a superb Renaissance door. At the end of the 18th century, the rear part of the castle was completed.
This noble house belonged to a family whose oldest known member is Pierre de Sainte Marie, born around 1495. Through the play of alliances, the property often changed its name.
