Our story

For 4 generations the Galinier family has been cultivating vines. Since the 1970s, the specificity of the estate has been rosé wine. Indeed, the first gold medal in Mâcon in the 75's was the trigger. Since then, every year, rosé has been the family's spearhead. On the other hand, Pierre does not stay on the rosé, he has tackled the red with the Mathilde cuvée which will be served on the most beautiful starry tables (Chez Reine Sammut for example, restaurant of the Eiffel Tower) then arrives the Clos Canos Tradition in the line of Corbières en Carignan. Then, 6 years ago, whites appeared with white wind turbines among others. The Mathilde vintage will be replaced by the Cocobirous vintage (Occitan name for the rolled pebbles that are on the quaternary terraces where the vines live). As soon as they were born, Cocobirous vintages were exported all over the world: Japan, Brazil, England, Switzerland and recently to the USA. It is true that the name of the cocobirous is easily translated whatever the country: pronounce the cocobirouuusss in Brazil or the Rolling stones in the USA or Great Britain. Here is in a few lines the Clos Canos, Pierre is in the vineyards and in the cellar, Françoise in the office, Paul and Mathilde the children in the local distribution, Samy and Christophe on the tractors or at the waist. We are delighted to introduce you to our estate and our wines!

Other little stories

A winegrower since a very young age, Pierre, 52 years old, dreamed of being a winegrower from nursery school... After studying winegrowing in Montpellier, Pierre bought Clos Canos, which he vinified with his father André's vines. He merged the vines and increased the family estate, which now covers more than 30 hectares. What we love most about Clos Canos is sharing: a beautiful table with good wines, discovery: we love to make young people taste and teach them the basics of tasting. What we love about Clos Canos: sharing, nothing beats a good table and good wines, discovery is also a vocation, we love to make young people taste and teach them the basics of tasting, our wines are probably different from the others because they look like us.
