Le Clos des Nines is 10 hectares of vines and olive trees on the hillsides, nestled in the scrubland between Montpellier and Sète. 10 Mediterranean grape varieties: from the old Carignan that I love, to the recently planted Mourvèdre, which allow me to reveal my micro-terroir through vintages of character. The magic of this terroir, set on Jurassic rocks, expresses each grape variety in finesse and freshness. The work is manual from pruning to harvesting and the whole property is certified Organic Agriculture since the 2016 vintage
Le Clos des Nines was created in 2003 during a professional reconversion. The name is a little wink to my 3 daughters: "Nines" in the Langue d'Oc. A radical change of life to plant my family's roots in this beautiful southern light.
Last year, taking advantage of the biodiversity of the hundreds of hectares surrounding my vineyard, I adopted 3 Kenyan hives and their bees. They are sedentary hives, bees instinctively forage for seasonal flowers and produce virgin honey, pure origin but rare.
