The domain

Clos Monicord is an independent family vineyard. Joep, Mireille and their daughter Audrey acquired Clos Monicord in June 2000. The vineyard is located in Vérac, on the right bank of the Bordeaux river, near Fronsac and Saint-Emilion, and the balance of the soil (mainly clay-limestone) is improved by planting cereals and legumes in the vine rows and by encouraging mechanical weeding to maintain the soil's qualities. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'accueil et les explications du vigneron, malheureusement pas assez de variété par rapport aux vins présentés compensé par la mise en valeur des bouteilles par des étiquettes originales.
