Domaine Bordenave

The Domaine Bordenave, located in the heart of the Jurançon appellation, in Monein, is one of the oldest properties in the region, run by father, son and daughter since 1676, whose latest organic creation, "Encore et Encore! "Grape varieties: Gros Manseng, Petit Manseng, Camaralet, Courbu, and Lauzet allow us to produce dry and sweet wines, appreciated for their freshness and their rich fruit aromas. Harvesting: hand-picked grapes in successive sortings from the beginning of October to the end of November. Vinification: skin maceration, then fermentation in vats at controlled temperatures and then maturing on fine lees for several months before bottling the following year. Our story

1993 1st bottling at the estate: Gold medal at the Concours général Agricole de Paris; 1994 again gold medal at the Concours général Agricole de Paris; 1995 elected best wine in France in terms of quality/price ratio by the sommeliers of the most prestigious French starred restaurants (Serge Dubs, Philippe Faure-Brac, Olivier Poussier, ... for the magazine Les Très Grandes Vignes. Since each year, Gisèle Bordenave has been making great sweet and dry Jurançon wines, recognised by oenophiles, wine clubs, sommeliers, and referenced in wine guides, wine shops and restaurants. She shares with the "Les Grappes community" these years of joy, passion, encounters around our wine, recognition by the wine actors and perpetual questioning in order to create each year a great Jurançon wine.
