Located in the magnificent Maranges valley, our family-run domaine offers two authentic wines: a red Santenay and a white Burgundy. The parcels are among the first to be cultivated according to organic farming principles. Certification was obtained in 2011. The Santenay pinot noir is grown at the foot of the Romanesque church of Saint Jean-de-Narosse, and the Bourgogne, made from a chardonnay grape variety, is grown on a parcel fed by the silts of the Dheune, bringing the benefits of naturally fertile soil. The size of our vineyard enables our winemakers to pay particular attention to each individual vine.
After a professional life that has taken them to the four corners of the globe, Philippe and Marie-Odile Beudet took over a family business with the conviction that only by working the soil and the vines with respect can the best be achieved and the objective of producing wines with character be achieved. The size of the vineyard guarantees intimacy with the vine. By surveying it throughout the seasons, our winegrowers know each plant, each vine stock, each branch. The hand-picking is precise and delicate, the maturing in oak barrels completes a traditional vinification which lets the grapes express their natural aromas.
Our Santenay parcel is located in the catchment area of the Terron spring... We'd be happy to ask the wild boar, roe deer, badgers and numerous insects that populate our organic vineyard and sometimes get a head start on our grape-pickers! The necessary trace elements - 30 grams - are spoon-fed to each of the 11,466 vines... a veritable thalassotherapy for our stars! Visits to the estate and tastings are provided by our winemakers, who will be happy to tell you more!
