Domaine de Brau

Terres de Brau is a pioneer in sustainable agriculture. We cultivate the land in a way that respects the soil, the people and the know-how. Our history is situated in the south of France, on the banks of the Canal du Midi. The vineyard took root 150 years ago and today under the name of the estate, 37.8 hectares are planted, 15 of which are classified as AOP Cabardès. The 34 plots, grouped in two lots around the cellar, are protected to the south by the river Trapel and to the north by the garrigue. For decades, the 173,456 vines have been cultivated organically - certified by Ecocert since 1989. Through 3 ranges we offer wines for all occasions:* Pop range: easy to drink, aperitifs and light meals;* Micro-cuvées range for a single-variety approach where our terroir expresses itself as well as a blended cuvée (Méditation) reflecting our vision of a wine for southern friends;* A cuvée AOP Cabardès, a unique small appellation combining the elegance of Bordeaux and the delicacy of Languedoc.

Our story

Brau's project is led by two French expatriate friends, passionate about the idea of sharing around the table. For them, wine is synonymous with pleasure, stories and discoveries. They wanted to embark on an entrepreneurial adventure that animates them and connects them to the land. Wines and conviviality. They set out to find a preserved wine estate and gathered a community of investors around their values. In 2020, they took over the Terres de Brau, an estate with an atypical history. Created in 1852 during the cholera epidemic (a sign?), our team of enthusiasts took up the challenge of giving a new lease of life to the estate and its varietal wines. Through 3 ranges (Pop, Micro-cuvées and AOP) we offer fresh and fruity wines, thirsty, with a taste of return. Our land is a superb playground that allows us to innovate and reveal the grape varieties (11) by going from vegetal to red fruits with an international touch that is part of our DNA.
