Our story

My grandfather, Bernard CLÉMENT, is one of the founders of the Menetou-Salon AOC appellation. He has always been innovative and was the first to install thermo-regulated tanks in his cellar. Thus, my mother's family - Laurence - has been producing wine in Menetou since 1560, and it was my father and mother who jointly created the estate in 2003 with the desire to bring a "sustainable" concept to their viticulture: working with indigenous yeasts, hand harvesting.... My grandfather helped them a lot in the creation of the estate and is still very present today, listening to each step of the vinification process, from pressing to the creation of the cuvees.

Other little stories

For me to be a winegrower is to be an element of the terroir, it is to be a kind of conductor who will set to music the soil, the plant, the fruit, the grape varieties... The winegrower is the cement of the chain between the vine and the wine. He creates vintages in his own image.

If I am a winegrower today, it is thanks to my grandfather who, as long as I can remember, has always shared with me his passion for his profession as a winegrower. My first memory related to wine comes from him, especially when he introduced me to the elements of the soil and the stones that make it up. After training as an agricultural engineer and oenologist, I started working as a buyer for a chain of wine merchants. My parents always pushed me to see other things, to travel, but irreparably, I went back to my roots. I do this job because I've had it in my heart since I was a child. What I like is seeing the wine evolve, listening to it, accompanying it towards what we are striving for in the most natural way.

If I am a winegrower today, it is because of my grandfather who always showed me how the cellar, the vineyard, works.... My first memory related to wine comes from him, especially when he introduced me to the elements of the soil and the stones that make it up. After training as a viti-oeono engineer, I started working at a wine store. My parents always pushed me to see other things, to travel, but irreparably, I went back to my roots. I do this job because I have it in my gut. What I like is seeing the wine evolve, trying to control it, to take it in the most natural way possible.
