Valentin's father, Jean-Bernard Moindrot, has lived on the estate since 1970. On this 15-hectare vineyard in Morogues, father and son work together, doing their utmost to respect the saying "a healthy vine is the guarantee of a quality wine". The clay-limestone soils and good exposure of the hillsides enable them to produce wines that are naturally highly aromatic, pleasant wines that are light and easy to drink.
Since his return, the winegrower from the Loire Valley has done his utmost to respect the saying: "A healthy vine is the guarantee of a quality wine". In addition, the slopes have been grassed over to limit vine vigor and erosion. In recent years, yields have fallen, followed by the maturity of the plots. At Domaine de Loye, we start harvesting plot by plot, following the evolution of maturity. In some years, the winemaker and his team will even carry out green harvesting, if the potential allows.
"I was born and raised on the estate. So I saw its evolution and its expansion thanks to technological development. I decided to become a winemaker because I wanted to work in contact with nature, which I have been immersed in since I was a child.""We make simple, light, fruity, easy-drinking wines, wines for pleasure, wines for friends without artifice or protocol. We do everything we can to make quality wines and this is reflected in our shared passion."
