The domain's short story

Since his return, the winegrower from the Loire Valley has done his utmost to respect the saying: "A healthy vine is the guarantee of a quality wine". In addition, the slopes have been grassed over to limit vine vigor and erosion. In recent years, yields have fallen, followed by the maturity of the plots. At Domaine de Loye, we start harvesting plot by plot, following the evolution of maturity. In some years, the winemaker and his team will even carry out green harvesting, if the potential allows.

The winemaker's pride

Valentin's father, Jean-Bernard Moindrot, has lived at the estate since 1970. On this 15-hectare vineyard in Morogues, father and son work together and do their utmost to respect the saying "a healthy vineyard is the assurance of a quality wine". The clay-limestone soils and the good exposure of the hillsides allow them to produce wines that are naturally very aromatic, pleasant wines, light and easy to drink.
