It has been the historical property of the Castaing family since its creation in 1898. Handed down for the 5th generation from father to son, Fabien Castaing has been working this property in sustainable agriculture for more than 10 years. Certified Exploitation of High Environmental Value since June 2013, the vineyard extends over 54 hectares of hills and plateaus south of Bergerac. Planted at high density (5000 vines/ha) on a clayey limestone terroir, the Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec grape varieties are grown for red and rosé wines, and the Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris, Muscadelle and Ugni-blanc grape varieties are grown for white wines. The property is in the process of conversion to organic farming. Appellation produced: AOC Bergerac, AOC Bergerac rosé, AOC Bergerac dry white, AOC Côtes de Bergerac white and AOC Monbazillac.
The Domaine de Moulin-Pouzy is the historic property of the Castaing family. Created in 1898 in the communes of Cunèges and Pomport in the Dordogne, it is the fruit of winemaking know-how passed down with passion for more than 120 years! Fabien Castaing is the 5th generation to perpetuate family traditions and values: love of the land, respect for the environment and winemaking know-how. The estate covers 54 hectares of vines which have been certified High Environmental Value (HVE) level 3 since 2013 and has been undergoing conversion to Organic Farming since 2019.
Fabien Castaing comes from a family of winemakers for 5 generations. He took over the family property of Domaine de Moulin-Pouzy in 2008, with the desire to produce wines that reflect their terroirs of origin. Committed to sustainable agriculture, the estate has been certified "High Environmental Value" since 2013. From 2010, great vintages are born on the estate with notably the Optimum cuvée and the arrival of vinification in ovoid vats. Concerned about the respect of its terroir and in order to produce the most beautiful grapes, the organic cultivation is engaged from 2019.
