The Domaine des Garennes is a family wine estate of 40 hectares, established for 4 generations in Montreuil-Bellay, 16km from Saumur, and produces all the leading appellations of the region: white and red Saumur, Cabernet d'Anjou, Rosé de Loire, Crémant de Loire.
Anecdotes about the domain
A family business located in Montreuil-Bellay, a small village famous for its castle and the remains of its ramparts. Two cousins, Stéphane Manguin and Fabrice Baron, are now at the head of the vineyard and are inclined towards a reasoned culture of the vines while being attentive to the ecological practices.
The domain's short story
The vineyard and its variety of terroirs scattered on the right and left banks of the Thouet, a direct tributary of the Loire, allows for a great understanding of the winemaking guidelines. Evolving over the years under the benevolence of the family's uncles and great-uncles and today taken over by cousins Fabrice Baron and Stéphane Mainguin, the wines present a very beautiful expression of the terroir.
