We are a small family estate, whose land is scattered around the village of Domazan, especially on the Signargues plateau. The plateau is composed of rolled pebbles, brought by the Rhône River a very, very long time ago. A layer of pebbles at the top of the plateau that disappears as you descend to the village where the soils become more clayey. We try to work as much as possible in the respect of our environment (natural and human) in the vineyard as well as in the cellar. This approach has enabled us to obtain the new High Environmental Value label. Winegrowers, our wines are made in our cellar from our grapes. And this has been the case for more than a century, four generations.
I joined the family estate at the end of 2013 to replace my mother who was leaving for a well-deserved retirement. She still comes to help from time to time, to keep in touch with her former clients and also to relieve us of some of the daily grind.
So I take care of the commercial part, the administration and the accounting. From a distance, it seems easy, but there is much more work than you might think.
My brother moved in when my grandfather retired more than ten years ago. The
whole burden of running the farm, planting, maintaining and harvesting is
on his shoulders.
It is in the cellar that we work the most together, especially during the harvest.
We are partnering with the Grappes community to allow you to discover our wines and our work. To answer your questions and get closer to us. Because knowing where to find a wine that pleases and being able to be advised is very important.
That is why we do not work with the supermarkets, because the link with the consumer is completely broken. We are here to help you to accompany your dishes, to choose your vintages, how to store them but also to hear you if you have any complaints to make about us!
We do not claim to produce exceptional wines. We have a lot of difficulty in talking to the so-called wine experts who find you aromas of plants you don't even know and who explain why you should like the wine you have in the glass even if your nose tells you otherwise. We think that the best judge to choose the wine you like is you. Your nose, your palate, your tongue. And also your wallet! Our job is to offer you authentic, regular and delicious wines at affordable prices. In short, wines that make you want to drink a glass again very quickly.
