The vine, the oak and the olive tree are the three leaves that symbolize the Clos d'Alari. Located in Saint-Antonin-du-Var, it extends over 30 hectares, 7 of which are vineyards on hillsides, planted at an altitude of 300 meters. The largest part of the plot is located on a clay-limestone soil. The domain is certified in Organic Agriculture since 2021.
The grapes are harvested manually at night.
Traditional cellar, stainless steel vats, modern equipment to ensure a respectful vinification.
Since 2022 no input other than small doses of sulfur at bottling.
The production includes nice red, rosé and white wines, in the appellations Côtes de Provence, IGP Var and Vin de France.
We also produce olive oil.
In 1998, pushed by a winegrower friend, my mother and I decided to leave the cooperative (where we carried our grapes) to make wine at the estate... The great adventure began... we had to learn everything, build everything, and it's not finished!
In 2010, I tasted a "Gewürztraminer luxembourgeois en vendanges tardives", magnificent, a lot of vivacity. I decided to try it on one of our parcels of Rolle (the only white grape variety of the domain). At the end of August, we pick up the dry grapes, and we go back to the vineyards to make a selection of the few bunches that we will leave. Ideal weather conditions in September/October. We harvest at the beginning of November, it will be "Le Rolle tardif", 600 bottles, freshness and a bit of sugar... magnificent!
