Domaine du Clos de l'Epinay in Vouvray is a family winery where two generations are involved: on the one hand Luc and Marie-Claire and on the other hand Pauline their daughter. "Le Clos", as they like to call it, includes an 18th century residence and a small plot of vines from which a special cuvée is made. In 2016, the Clos de l'Epinay has been in the Dumange family for 50 years.
A passion and know-how passed down from father to daughter. After studying viticulture in Bordeaux, Pauline, the daughter of the house, joined the family estate. She works in pairs with her father to develop charming Vouvray wines, while respecting the environment (Terra Vitis certification). The complementary vision of these two generations makes wines very complex and pleasant to drink.
A word from the heart: Being a winegrower is above all a passion, a state of mind and a desire to make people discover your profession and your wines, which are so precious to them. This is why the Clos de l'Epinay develops wine tourism. My passion for wine goes back to my childhood, when I was walking in my grandfather's cellars or going to the wine press to taste the grape juice or goose I love! A
little anecdote and not the least:
a wine tasting at the age of 4 or 5 to determine if this wine will bear my first name is most probably at the origin of the fact that I am in the wine business now.
